Wellspring – A Place of Peace for Women is a drop-in center for women located on Dousman Street on Green Bay’s near west side. This special place began as a heart dream of a group of Sisters. The dream was to provide a caring place for women in need. Over the years Wellspring has called several locations “home,” but at each spot, it has been a place of peace and welcome for the women who came to visit.

Women come to enjoy the peace and quiet away from their hectic lives. They come to share their joys and sorrows with other women. They come to rejuvenate their spirits by participating in personal growth experiences.
Though sponsored by the Sisters, Wellspring depends and is blessed by its wonderful volunteers who share the ministry of presence with the Sisters. The volunteers have witnessed positive growth and change in the women who visit – some have returned to school and others have found apartments and jobs.

Located at 413 Dousman Street, Wellspring is open from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday to Friday. Wellspring collaborates with the Salvation Army, NEW Community Shelter, St. John’s Homeless Shelter, St. Vincent de Paul, and area Neighborhood Resource Centers.
